Privacy

We would like to thank you for your interest in our website. The protection of your personal data is of special importance to us. Below we would like to inform you in detail about how we handle your personal data. Needless to say, we comply with all applicable German and European data protection and telecommunications legislation.

Data collection and processing

It is not necessary to provide personal information to use our website. Only browser-dependent access data will be temporarily stored: information about the browser type and the version used, the user’s operating system, the user’s internet service provider, the user’s IP address, data and time of access, websites from which the user’s system accesses our website, websites that are retrieved by the user’s system through our website.

Data are evaluated exclusively to improve our offering and do not allow any conclusions to be drawn about you personally (legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1. (f) GDPR). On the other hand, we only collect personal data when you disclose it to us voluntarily. This can, for instance, occur in the context of a goods order, when registering for a VOCO event or when subscribing to our newsletter.

Use and forwarding of personal data

If a contractual relationship is to be established between you and us, or the contents of such an agreement are to be defined or changed, e.g. if you instruct us to provide a service or to send goods, we will collect and utilise your personal data in so far as is necessary for these purposes. This includes, in particular, the forwarding of your data to transport companies, a dental depot specified by you, credit companies or other services used to provide the service or implement the contract.

When you have registered for our newsletter by providing your email address, it will be used for our own advertising purposes until you unsubscribe from the newsletter. It is possible to unsubscribe at any time. Please contact us.

Use of cookies

To make your visit to our website more attractive and to enable the use of specific functions, we use so-called “cookies” on some web pages. These are small text files which are stored on your computer. Most of the cookies that we use are automatically deleted from your hard drive (“session cookies”) after the browser session is finished. The so-called “permanent cookies”, on the other hand, remain on your computer and enable us to recognise you on your next visit. Our partner companies are not permitted to use cookies to collect, process or use personal data from our website.

You have the possibility of preventing the storage of cookies on your computer by choosing the right browser settings, although the range of functions on our website may be restricted as a result.

Use of Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, text files that are saved on your computer for the website to analyse the use of the site by its visitors. The information generated by the cookie concerning your use of this website (including your IP address) will be passed on to a Google server in the USA and saved there. Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to produce reports on website activities for their operators, and to provide other services associated with website and internet use. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. On no account will Google link your IP address to other data collected by Google. You can also block the transfer of data generated by the cookie with regard to your utilisation of the website (incl. your IP address) to Google, and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in from the link below: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en-GB. Alternatively to the browser add-on, especially when browsing on mobile devices, you can also prevent recording by Google Analytics by clicking on this link: Deactivate Google Analytics. An opt-out cookie will be set, which prevents the future collection of your data when visiting this website. However, we would like to point out that if you do so, it may not be possible for you to make use of the full scope of all this website's functions. By using this website, you agree that the data concerning you, which is collected by Google, is being processed in the manner described above and for the aforementioned purpose.

In view of the discussion on the use of analysis tools with complete IP addresses, we would like to point out that this website uses Google Analytics with the extension “_anonymizeIp()” so that IP addresses are only processed further in abbreviated form to prevent them being linked directly to real persons.

More detailed information on conditions of use and data protection is available at https://www.google.com/analytics/terms/gb.html or at https://policies.google.com/?hl=en-GB.

Use of Google reCaptcha

We use the reCAPTCHA service provided by Google Inc. in certain cases to ensure adequate data security when transmitting forms. This primarily serves to determine whether the submission is made by a natural person or is abuse by mechanical and automated processing. The service includes sending the IP address and any other data required by Google for the reCAPTCHA service to Google. The deviating data protection provisions of Google Inc. apply to this. More information about Google’s data privacy policies can be found at https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en-GB&gl=de or https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en-GB

Use of Facebook plugins

On some of our web pages plugins are integrated which create a link to the social network Facebook. We would like to point out that data are not automatically forwarded to Facebook when visiting our website. You decide yourself whether data should be forwarded to Facebook and whether you wish to use the possibilities of being able to share our web pages with other people in the social network. You can recognise the plugins by the logos and buttons of networks on our website. When you press the buttons, the connection is activated and a connection is set up between your browser and the server of the social network via the respective plugin. These networks thereby obtain the information that you visited our website with your IP address. As soon as you use the buttons of the social networks while you are logged into your account, you can link the contents of our web pages to your user profile. As a result, the social network can associate the visit to our web pages with your user account. We would like to point out that, as a provider of web pages, we have no knowledge of the contents of the transmitted data or its use by the providers of the social networks. You will find further information on this in the privacy notice of the respective social networks. If you do not want your visit to our web pages to be associated with your user account, please log off from your social network.

More detailed information on conditions of use and data protection is available at https://www.facebook.com/privacy/explanation

Use of YouTube plugins

We have incorporated YouTube videos on our website, which are stored on https://www.YouTube.com and can be played directly from our website. You can access the YouTube channel of VOCO GmbH directly via the separate YouTube buttons. YouTube belongs to Google Inc., 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. These videos are all integrated in “extended data protection mode”, i.e. no data about you as a user can be transmitted to YouTube if you do not play the videos. The YouTube buttons have also been deactivated and no data are transferred. We have no control over the transmission of data when videos are played or when the YouTube buttons are activated. By visiting the YouTube channel/playing the videos, YouTube receives in particular information about our web pages that you have visited, the browser type and the version used, the user’s operating system, the user’s internet service provider, the user’s IP address and the date and time of access. The transfer of data takes place regardless of whether YouTube provides a user account with which you are logged in, or whether no user account exists. If you are logged in with Google, your data are directly assigned to your account. If you do not want this data to be associated with your YouTube profile, you must log out before activating the video/button.

Function for automatic language selection

In order to provide you with the best possible user experience, we automatically adapt the language of our website to your location (country). For this reason, your location is determined automatically by means of your transmitted IP address. For determining the country of your current residence, we use a web service of the company CURRY Services GmbH, with headquarters in Hünenberg am See in Switzerland. Hence, your IP address is transferred to a server in Switzerland and processed by CURRY Services GmbH. Your current location is then transmitted to us by CURRY Services, so that we can use it for the automatic language selection. After provision of the country code, your IP address is immediately deleted by CURRY Services. A permanent storage and/or merging with other (personal) data does not take place. For performance reasons, your IP address will also be cached on our servers by our content management system contentXXL.
According to Articles 44-45 of the EU Data Protection Directive, the data transmission to CURRY Services is permitted, because according to this regulation, Switzerland has a level of security comparable with Germany.
If you do not agree with the transmission of your IP address to CURRY Services GmbH, please click on the following opt-out link: Deactivate automatic language selection.
After clicking this link, in the future, we will not transfer your IP address to the company named above.

Right to information

According to the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have a right to be provided with information free of charge relating to your stored data and, where applicable, a right to have this data corrected, blocked or erased.
